The cultural association Lelefante announces that submissions for the 8th edition of the International Short Film Festival FATFILMFEST are now open. The Festival will take place in the Salento countryside, on August 16-17-18, 2011. View a map >
The goal of the Festival is to showcase a diverse selection of local and international short films spanning fiction, animation, documentary and experimental genres in order to explore different narrative and cultural perspectives often missing from mainstream media and culture. In the last edition 22 short films from 14 countries worldwide were selected for screening. The list of nominated works will be published on this website by July, 2011.
The Festival accepts short films under 30 minutes. The deadline for submissions for this upcoming edition is May 16, 2011. There are no entry fees.
The best short film will receive the €700 Lilliana Appiano Forni Prize.

Tuesday, April 26th at 7:30 – 9:30 pm
Tonight, the art director of FatFilmFest, Paolo Forni, will present a selection of films from the 2010 festival. After the screening, we will be joined for discussion and a Q&A session by local film aficionado and festival art director, Paolo Forni.
